40 Awesome Pictures From Lima-Peru

Lima is a different city than 5 years tourist can remember from they visit, because today the Peru’s capital is changing in every corner, thanks to a favorable economic growing in the last decade, and the hard work of their people.

Buildings, stores, malls, boutiques and even the traffic lights are having a new face in some sectors of Lima, globalization and Free Trade Agreements are giving to this part of Latino America an unique and new chance to stand up next to the biggest. Even if for the moment this is the only city where you can see the big changes in this country, the others cities are just coming behind.

If you are like me, after seeing this pictures you will be thinking on going there to see this beautiful city and life style, because every city is different and Lima is becoming different every year so why don’t try it now.

The person behind the lens is Jano, he tries to capture every single detail and word coming from the objects, people or nature this beautiful country can provide. Everything he can translate from this city, who screams that is floating with hundreds of years of history over it shoulders, but starting again in the last years.

Video Of The Week #10 – Super Baozi by Sun Haipeng

Here we go with the video of the week section where I bring to you a great inspirational video found on internet throughout the work week, it could be a motion graphics or an animation, 2d or 3d, even a trailer or music video with some great design or animation techniques.

For this week I bring you a video recommended by one of my twitter followers (follow me). This is a really funny animation from Sun Haipeng where our hero named “Super Baozi” find himself in the middle of a fight against Sushi man, the leader of a really mean gang of Japanese food guys.

The first video is the funniest thing I’ve seen last days, for that I pick it, and because the characters has such personality that you can completely understand the story and their meanings, thanks to the movement and expressions they have.

For the second video is just a music video but I thinks is The Music Video because this guys are fighters and musicians, that’s better than Superman. Especially recommended the last part with a little behind the scenes.

As 6th august is the 471 Birthday of Bogota, the city where I grew up and where I spent almost all my life (21 years), one of the most beautiful capitals of South America. I thought it would be fair to make a little homage to this lovely city so I started looking for excellent pictures of Bogota and here I put together more than 50 to your delight.

All the good places you can find there is awesome, the modern arhitecture use in its Universities, Museums, Libraries, Malls, Parks etc, make a great contrast with the classic downtown and its little an traditional houses, having also a great view where ever you look at, thanks to the mountains surrounding it you can even feel the nature and peaceful of a welcoming city.

I know that the first thing coming to your mind could be Pablo Escobar or Guerrilla and violence, all those kind of images you see on TV, but the true is really far from the violence country you can imagine, the cities in Colombia are not more dangerous than any other large city in North America or Europe, and visitors can expect an excellent welcome and genuine curiosity from its people.

Bogota is the capital city of Colombia, as well as the most populous city in the country, with 6,776,009 habitants (2005) is also the largest and its altitude (2,640 metres) makes it the third-highest major city in the world. With its many universities and libraries, Bogotá has become known as “The Athens of South America”. Take from Wikipedia

Video Of The Week #08 – Red Rabbit By Egtmon Mayer

For this week I found an excellent animation written, directed and animated by Egtmon Mayer and excellent 3d artist and filmmaker from Germany. He has a good experience in stop motion thanks to two others short films made in the last years and now he put all of himself in this 3d animation short called Red Rabbit, for this animation he won the Best student prize Sicaf 08 and he was screened on Annecy 08, where he received really good feedback from the animation industries.

Egmont is currently working freelance on commercials and image films and is founding member of SHAPE-Berlin, a creative collective combining both animation an design.

Red Rabbit

A man who lives alone in a small apartment. The little contact he had with other people has dropped to zero since the rabbit appeared. Every attempt to get the rabbit out of his apartment has failed and since he is not sure whether or not pets are allowed in the building, he does not let anybody enter his apartment.
